From the hotel
to the hospital
By car: 4.7 km, approx. 10 minutes
The route follows Schlossberg-Höhen-Straße around the hill to the main gate, which is why it is much longer than the 1.2 km as the crow flies. For your sat nav: Kirrberger Straße 100, 66424 Homburg. This house number does not actually exist, but it takes you to the hospital’s main entrance. The driving time assumes clear roads.
On foot: 1.8 km, approx. 24 minutes
Calculated on level ground to the main gate and the information centre. The hotel sits at the top of the Schlossberg, so the way back is uphill – allow extra time.
Parking at the UKS
There are several pay car parks on the campus; the hospital recommends the multi-storey car park at the main entrance. Short-stay spaces at individual clinics cost €1.50 per 60 minutes between 7am and 6pm, up to a maximum of €10.
Campus shuttle bus
A free hospital bus (Klinikbus) runs Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, every 15 minutes, serving 12 stops across the site. It starts at the multi-storey car park.

at the UKS
The Universitätsklinikum des Saarlandes is the hospital of Saarland University. It has its own campus south of the town with more than 100 buildings.
Your first point of contact is the information centre (Info-Zentrum) in Building 10, right at the main gate. It is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:15pm and has site maps, bus timetables and the lost property office.

What time does breakfast start if I need to leave early?
The breakfast buffet starts at 6:30am Monday to Friday and on Sundays, and at 7am on Saturdays. It costs €26 per person, or €12 when you book directly with us.
Can I arrive late in the evening?
Yes. Reception is open 24 hours and rooms are ready from 3pm. If you will be arriving after 6pm, please let us know in advance so that we can hold your room.
